What you get

A short document that names names

Three pages, no jargon, and every line of it is about your listings rather than about listings in general.

Page one

Report page one: headline figures, the three states, and the listings costing the most.

Page two

Report page two: the listings nobody has seen, and titles leaving characters unused.

A real report, from a real account. Those are our own listings, which is the only reason we can show them to you. Yours are never shown to anybody.

What is on those pages

Your headline numbers

How many listings you have, how many times eBay showed them, how many people clicked, your click rate and what sold. Most sellers have never seen four of those five.

Page one, top

The listings costing you the most

Shown the most, clicked the least. Named individually with their figures, because these are the fastest wins you have: eBay is already doing its part.

Page one, bottom

The ones nobody has seen

Listings with no impressions at all. Almost always the title and the item specifics rather than anything about the item, and no price change will help.

Page two

One example

Titles leaving room unused

eBay gives you eighty characters of title and every one of them is searchable. In the account on this page, 384 listings used fewer than sixty five, with a middle value of fifty five.

Each unused character is a word a buyer could have searched for and did not find them by. It is the cheapest fix on the list and it costs nothing but typing.

Your report gives you the count, the median, and the specific listings.

384Titles under 65 characters
55Median length used
80Characters available
25Wasted, on average

What it will not say

Worth being straight about, because plenty of things sold to eBay sellers are not.

It will not promise your sales will go up.
This tells you where buyers are dropping off and what to change. Acting on it is the part that moves the numbers, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
It will not claim any relationship with eBay.
We read your own data, with your permission, using eBay's public interface. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
It will not tell you to drop your prices.
Only one of the three leaks is a pricing problem, and it is usually not the one costing you the most.
It will not pad itself out.
Where there is not enough traffic on a listing to say anything honest, the report says so instead of filling the space.
